US Army 3rd Armored Division Regulation Patch – PM0243. This patch is a regulation, full color, embroidered military patch, with iron-on backing or sew on. Yellow, blue, and red are the colors of the branches from which armored units were formed. The tab recalls the numerous times when the Third was called upon to ‘spearhead the attack’. The tank tread, lighting flash and cannon in the center of the patch are symbolic of mobility, power and speed. The division designations is the numeral in the top center. This is the same patch that is supplied to the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, Army Reserve units, and sold in the Army Post Exchanges.
